马来西亚国立大学吉隆坡分校新春文娱晚会创办于2000年。此活动原是为了让远在他乡的游子们能共同庆祝新春佳节，感受到佳节的欢乐气氛。这项活动亦旨意让同学们更加认知、尊重、继承与弘扬中华文化的精髓，并培养学生对优秀中华文化的热忱。

发展至今，国大吉隆坡分校新春文娱晚会逐渐发扬到不同宗族的朋友当中，让各族同胞对华人的传统文化有更深入的了解。此活动更是成为了国大分校学生学习新技能与发挥表演天分的平台。各族学生不分你我，共同努力付出，造就了每一届的新春文娱晚会。

自2015年起，国大分校新春文娱晚会籍此筹募善款，将筹募所得赠与慈善用途，希望举办活动的同时，也能发挥“助人为善”的精神。国大分校新春文娱晚会在潜移默化之中倡导和丰富着学生们的生活，传递着和谐社会里的欢乐与祝福。

Pesta Ang Pow Kolej Tun Syed Nasir (PAP KTSN) has been held annually since 2000. The event was originally organized for UKM students in KL campus who could not have the chance to return home during Chinese New Year, thus providing them the opportunity to celebrate and experience the festive mood of the season together. PAP KTSN not only aims to promote better understanding, respect and inheritance of Chinese Culture among students, but also to inculcate their passion for the outstanding traditional culture.

Over the years, PAP KTSN has gradually reached out to students of different races to deepen their understanding towards traditional Chinese culture. Besides, this event has become a platform for all students in KTSN to develop new skills and showcase their talents. Students regardless of races and religions, work together to put on a successful PAP every year.

Since 2015, PAP KTSN has collaborated with different charity organisations in Malaysia and raised funds to help the needy. Besides organizing the event, PAP KTSN hopes to raise public awareness on community service. Thus, through PAP KTSN, students could enrich their lives and at the same time, contribute to the society.
